We’d like to extend a big Thank You to all our 2016 couples for entrusting us with their most special day!
Capturing images of your wedding day is not only a job for us, but something we truly love. Each & every wedding is different & we love seeing how our couples make their day unique to their personalities. We often spend 10-12 hours on a wedding day with our couples. You really get to know each other when you watch them dress for their big day and are still there when they are winding down at 10pm!
The engagement session is the kick off to our relationship with our couples. It gives us a chance to hang out in a casual manner, talking about their wedding, their lives and family, while we create their engagement images. We’ve done engagement sessions on college campuses, barns, coffee shops, libraries, parks & here on our studio grounds. Our couples have included their pups, fishing gear, ATV’s and even a cat!
Couples often ask if they can opt out of the engagement session. They may have a “friend’ who has offered to do the session as a gift. Living out of town may cause logistical issues. While I understand these reasons, I encourage couples to have their engagement session done AND done with their “official’ wedding photographer, whomever that may be. As I mentioned, the session gives the couple & the photographer a chance to get to know each other so much more before the wedding day. We notice a huge difference in the comfort & trust level with the couples that we have “shot” with before the wedding day. It’s basically a “trial run” of wedding day photos. One bride commented on how glad she was that they had them done so they could work on the grooms’ smile before the wedding day!!
We’re anxious to get the 2017 wedding season kicked off in early May! Currently, we’re working on getting all the albums & books designed & delivered for all our 2016 couples. Soon, we’ll be getting the timelines going for the May & June weddings & before you know it, it’ll be midsummer – where does the time go?

To our 2017 couples, enjoy your wedding planning, take some time to relax & don’t stress the little stuff. It’s all good – your day will be wonderful – the most important detail is you! And a relaxed, happy you will make all the difference!
